The soul of Zamora in a haute couture bottle

Jara is a love letter to my roots. With this creation, I pay homage to my mother's homeland: Zamora , the Spanish province that holds the greatest treasure of rockrose thickets on the Iberian Peninsula. From this plant, both rugged and noble, comes labdanum , an oleoresin with an exquisite aroma and legendary staying power that becomes the vibrant soul of this perfume extract.

The Gold of the Shepherds and the Refuge of History

This fragrance revives traditions that seem like legends. It evokes those times when labdanum was harvested in a poetic way: letting sheep graze freely among the rockrose bushes so that their fleece would become impregnated with the resin, which the shepherds then painstakingly combed to separate the aroma from the wool.

But Jara also holds the echo of freedom. History tells that, during the War of Independence, its dense thickets of rockrose served as a sacred refuge, hiding and saving the lives of many Spaniards from Napoleon's army. That spirit of protection and mystery permeates every drop of this creation.
